Carol Folbre

Carol Folbre, a San Antonio native now living in the Texas Hill Country, is an educator, writer, and artist with over 20 years of experience and the author of Wishbone: An American Odyssey in Asia (Trinity University Press), a memoir of her journey away from the predictable norms of her early life into a more expansive, global way of being. Her work and research explore life as paradox, innovation beyond the familiar, Interfaith engagement, international balance and reciprocity, and “stranger” hospitality across cultures. She holds a BA in Education from Principia College, an MA in English from Trinity University, and a PhD in English Literature from the University of Sussex.
